Before your first kilometre
Do I have to travel there?
No. Walk or run wherever you are: around your neighbourhood, in a park or on a treadmill. Enter the distance in Direction to move along this virtual route.
Do I need an account or a watch?
Neither. Add your kilometres manually. There is no GPS tracking or automatic activity sync. Your expedition is saved in this browser on this device. Export a backup from Data and privacy to keep a copy or move devices.
Is there a deadline?
This Great Crossing is yours to finish at your own pace. Walk a little or run a lot. Optional monthly solo challenges have their own deadlines; this expedition does not.
What does it cost to start?
Your first expedition starts here for free, with zero Travel Credits. Unlock up to three credits from the Travel Credits checklist. An instant start elsewhere costs two credits and requires confirmation. Starting at a trailhead stays free. Your past kilometres and history are kept.
Will I receive a medal?
Yes. Complete the full route to earn its digital finisher’s medal. Find it in your completed Great Crossings in Direction. Your medal stays with your saved expedition. There is no physical medal or delivery.
